A St. Louis woman robbed First Bank in the Dierberg’s on Zumbehl Road Aug. 9, St. Charles Police said.
Tara M. Grippe, 24, of the 6400 block of Wade Avenue in St. Louis, was charged Monday with second-degree robbery.
St. Charles Police said Grippe handed the teller at First Bank a note that read, “This is a robbery put $10,000 in the bag immediately.”
The teller put $858 into black purse provided by Grippe, police said.
A witness told police they saw Grippe getting into a gold Mercury Sable with a temporary tag on the rear license plate. The car left the lot, driven by a man.
Chesterfield Police notified St. Charles Police that the woman’s description matched Grippe, who was arrested Aug. 5 driving a gold Mercury Sable with temporary tags.
The teller positively identified Grippe in a photo lineup.
Osage Beach Police arrested Grippe Friday in Osage Beach after spotting her in the Mercury Sable. She was arrested going into a restaurant with a man, who fled police.
Police said Grippe is a known heroin user.
Grippe is being held in St. Charles County jail. Bail was set at $15,000.
