Woman Injured in Condo Fire

Fire spread to several condominiums in the Sherman Oaks Condominium Complex.

A woman sustained minor injuries in a condo fire that started early Monday morning, according to a story in the St. Charles Suburban Journals.

The fire started just before 6 a.m. and was contained quickly by fire fighters.

The injured woman lived in the apartment at which the fire started at 1736 South Wisteria Lane. She was treated at the scene and then taken to a hospital for second degree burns, according to a story on ksdk.

Neighboring apartments received fire and water damage and were evacuated. Power was shut off to those apartments. 

Investigators spent time later in the morning trying to determine the cause of the fire.

Central County Fire and Rescue was assisted by other agencies including Cottleville, St. Charles and the St. Charles County Ambulance Department in fighting the two-alarm blaze.
