Window Foils Theft; Woman Charged With Attempted Burglary

St. Louis County Police said a man and a woman attempted to break into the home.

A St. Charles woman faces criminal charges after police said she tried to break into a St. Louis County home Oct. 4.

St. Louis County Police said Kelly Peirick, 24, of the 3100 block of Duquette Drive in St. Charles, and a man removed a screen from a house window in the 2100 block of Seven Pines Drive in St. Louis County. The unincorporated area is south of Maryland Heights near Creve Coeur Park.

The two planned to open a window, crawl through it and burglarize the home, police said. The window would not open wide enough for them to get through.
