Wentzville Tattoo Parlor Owner Arrested For Invasion of Privacy

Employees discovered a video camera hidden in the Blue Moon Tattoo Parlor's restroom.

A Wentzville tattoo parlor owner was arrested Thursday after an employee discovered a video camera hidden in a restroom vent, said a Wentzville Police spokesman.

Bruce Hymes, 41, of the 500 block of Blumhoff Avenue in Wentzville, has been charged with invasion of privacy of several individuals and tampering with evidence. Hymes is owner of Full Moon Tattoo Parlor in Wentzville.

Capt. Kevin Pyatt said the employee called police Thursday to report she had found the camera.

KSDK-TV reported the employee, Mel Burch, called police and then confronted the Hymes with the evidence.

“Before we arrived, there was some sort of discussion or confrontation about the camera,” Pyatt said. “Then, the owner, Mr. Hymes attempted to pull the camera and wires out of the vent.”

The evidence is still under investigation by the St. Charles Cyber Crime Unit, but police did have enough evidence to proceed with the charges, Pyatt said.

Pyatt said the room with the camera was a unisex restroom available to the public and employees.

Hymes’ wife is a St. Charles police officer who also owns the shop, according to a KSDK-TV report. The store is advertising that it is under new management.

Pyatt said the tattoo parlor is closed this morning, but is not under any restriction from reopening.

That's not the only thing that they all know about this guy! There are more things. If only certain things were public record.

I feel completely violated. My brother and I recently got new tattoos there. We both used the restroom. I hope "bossman" stays in jail for quite some time! This is rididulous, who wants to see people using the restroom? Chuck Berry did the same damn thing! What is wrong with people?

actually the employees there are all recent hires... him being inappropriate and a pervert is what ran all the rest away.. and what almost ran the staff he has out the door.. Its wrong to attack victims.. the employees are just as much of victims then you or i am.. With in minutes of them finding the camera one of the employees were on the phone with the police. No one came forward until the employees stood up to "bossman" bruce for all his wrongs.. where they are trying to make right by his wrongs.. other shops in town, old employees, are also trying to do there part to make things right. Have your facts correct.. "bossman" is homeless with nothing now.. restraining orders are in place for all employees.. divorce has been filed. all this my friends is public record.

also if you have know "bossman" has been this way for years, how come you didnt report him to your local police? Instead people who have only known him for a few months had to stand up to this pervert.
