Welding Lead, Copper Ground Wire Stolen from North Fifth Street

St. Charles Police Reports Jan. 11-17. The following arrest information was supplied by the St. Charles Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Stealing

  • A package was reportedly stolen from the UPS truck during a delivery at Time Center Drive around 5 p.m. on Jan. 10.
  • Goodwill reported a shoplifting incident around 5 p.m. Jan. 11. The person paid for some items but left with others.
  • A 51-year-old woman reported her son stole her medication that included Adderall, Ritalin, and Ativan and several credit cards from her home on North Rue Street around 5 p.m. Jan. 11.
  • A man and woman were arrested for shoplifting approximately $430 in merchandise from Wal-Mart Jan. 12.
  • A juvenile shoplifter took about $11 in goods from a shop on Zumbehl Road Jan. 13.
  • Employee theft of about $100 was reported from a business on First Capitol Drive around Jan. 13.
  • A 31-year-old man had his wallet stolen out of his jacket while at the gym on bass Pro Drive between 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. on Jan. 14.
  • A 21-year-old woman had her purse stolen out of her car that was parked at San Juan Drive between 10 p.m. Jan. 13 and 1 p.m. Jan. 14.
  • Stereo equipment was taken from a car parked on Decatur Street between 8:30 p.m. and 8:20 a.m. on Jan. 15.
  • A computer was reportedly taken from a vehicle parked at Clock Tower Square over between noon Jan. 14 and 4:40 p.m. Jan. 15.
  • A 21-year-old woman reported purses were stolen from a car parked in the 200 block of North Main Street between 10:30 p.m. Jan. 14 and 1:30 a.m. Jan. 15.
  • Wheels and tires were stolen off a vehicle parked at Santa Cruz Street in St. Charles around 1:50 a.m. Jan. 16.
  • A business owner reported 200 feet of welding lead and 50 feet of copper ground wire was stolen from a business on North Fifth Street between 5 p.m. Jan. 13 and 5:30 a.m. Jan. 16.
  • A license plate and license tabs were reportedly stolen from a car parked at Regency Parkway between 4 p.m. Jan. 15 and 1 p.m. Jan. 16.
  • Galvanized steel grates were reported stolen from a construction site at Sunset Drive and Valley Drive on Jan. 17.

Public Urination

  • Police arrested someone for urinating in public on Veterans Memorial Parkway around 1:40 a.m. Jan. 11.

  • Subjects soliciting in front of Brick City on North Main Street caused a large group of people to block pedestrians from using the public thoroughfare/sidewalk. Reported on Jan. 15.
  • Two people were arrested for fighting on the sidewalk in front of 140 North Main Street on Jan. 15 around 1 a.m.

Gas Drive Off 

  • A gas station on South Fifth Street reported a gas drive off on Jan. 12.
  • PetroMart on Elm Street reported a gasoline drive off on Jan. 14 around 1 p.m.

Burglary

  • Someone entered an unlocked basement door of a home at South Fifth Street in St. Charles between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. Jan. 12 and took a 32-inch LCD television, a Nintendo Wii and a DVD player.

Possession of Drugs

  • Police arrested a suspect who was found to be in possession of Heroin at Veterans Memorial Parkway on Jan. 12.

Property Damage

  • A 43-year-old woman reported that the taillights on her car had been damaged while she was parked in the parking lot at 1201 South Fifth Street on Jan. 12.
  • A 27-year-old man reported the rear window of his car was broken out while it was parked behind the alley in the 300 block of Kingshighway on Jan. 12.
  • A drinking fountain at the Steinhoff Pavilion in was vandalized. The incident was reported on Jan. 13.
  • A 43-year-old man reported his vehicle was damaged between 1 p.m. Jan. 12 and 7 a.m. Jan. 12. The steering column and driver’s door were damaged. The car was parked at Veteran’s Memorial Drive.
  • A concrete birdbath and flowerpot were broken in the 2900 block of Greenleaf Drive between 3:20 a.m. and 3:50 a.m. Jan. 15.
  • Two windows were smashed in the rear of over the weekend of Jan. 15-17.

Dog Bite

  • A 57-year-old woman reported the neighbor’s dog bit her outside her apartment door on Aberdeen Court around 1 a.m. Jan. 14.

Possible Overdose

  • Police took a 26-year-old man into protective custody after a call to assist EMS with a possible overdose at a home in the 3700 block of Rue Street on Jan. 15.

Loud Party

  • Police arrested a resident of a home on Kettering Ct. who was holding a loud party with about 70 partygoers on Jan. 16.
