Two Injured in I-70 Accident

One man was in serious condition after an accident Monday morning.

A 28-year-old man from Florissant was seriously injured in a car accident on Interstate 70 Monday that involved three cars. 

Nicholas Vizgird, of Florissant, was driving westbound on Interstate 70, west of I-270 around 7:45 a.m. when the front of his vehicle struck the back of a car driven by Charles Ryan, 51, of St. Charles, according to the accident report filed by the Missouri State Highway Patrol

Vizgird's car then traveled off the road and hit a concrete barrier. Ryan's car spun and struck the rear of a car driven by Theresa Higins, 51, of St. Ann. Ryan's car then traveled off the right of the road and hit a sign.

Vizgird was taken to DePaul Medical Center by ambulance with serious injuries. Ryan was taken to in St. Charles with minor injuries. Higgins' car was able to be driven away from the accident.
