Three Charged in Burglary of Recording Studio in St. Charles

Men are charged with first degree robbery and armed criminal action.

Three men were charged Tuesday with robbing a recording studio on South Fifth Street Monday night.

Jermaine L. Perry, 27, of O'Fallon, Darean A. Marshall, 18, of St. Louis, and Deandre L. Tyler, 22, of St. Louis, face charges of robbery in the first degree and armed criminal action.

All three are being held on $20,000 cash-only bond. According to a probable cause statement, Perry, Marshall and Tyler entered the Smash House Recording Studio around 10:50 p.m. Aug. 8 and took three sets of keys and cash from the four victims.

Tyler was armed with a handgun during the incident. One victim was hit with the weapon in the face. After he fled the area, the victims heard gunshots.

About an hour later, Perry, Marshall and Tyler were found hiding behind a business next to a red car. One set of stolen keys was found under the car, another set of keys was found nearby the car.

The victims identified Perry and Tyler as two of the perpatrators and three of the four victims identified Marshall as one of the perpatrators.
