St. Peters Man Charged With Burglary in St. Charles

Timothy A Horrell, of 8 Kingston Court in St. Peters, was charged with burglary after .

Horrell, 20, and another man went to the house around 4:50 p.m. April 25. The other suspect threw a brick into the window of the house and he and Horrell went inside according to a probable cause statement signed by Det. Derek Piasecki.

A neighbor noticed them trying to break in and called police, according to the original report. When police arrived, the pair ran from the house and Officer Mark Grothe gave chase during which he tore his ACL. Horrell was caught at the scene and admitted to breaking in to the residence to steal money. The other suspect has not been charged. A laptop computer was recovered at the scene, according to a probable cause statement.

Horrell was charged with one count of burglary in the second degree, and one count of theft or stealing more than $500 but less than $25,000, felonies punishable on conviction with up to seven years in prison. A warrant for his arrest was issued May 27. Bond has been set at $20,000, cash only.
