St. Charles Woman Injured in Head-On Crash

Tori Towery was driving along Highway 79 when she lost control of her car, crossed over the center line and struck another car head-on.

A 24-year-old St. Charles woman sustained moderate injureis Friday morning when the car she was driving veered into an oncoming traffic lane and crashed head-on into another car. 

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Tori Towery was driving along Highway 79, near the Cuivre River Bridge, shortly after 7 a.m., when she lost control of her car, crossed over the center line and struck another car, driven by an Old Monroe resident, head-on. 

Towery was taken by Lincoln County ambulance to St. Joseph's West Hospital with moderate injuries. According to the highway patrol, she was wearing a seat belt.

Both cars involved in the accident received extensive damage.
