St. Charles Police Reports Dec. 18-Dec. 27

The following arrest information was supplied by the St. Charles Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Stealing

  • A 54-year-old woman reported a GPS unit was stolen from her unlocked vehicle parked at Lakeshore Drive between 5 p.m. Dec. 20 and 5:47 a.m. Dec. 21.
  • An 18-year-old woman reported that she left her laptop at a friend's house on Dec. 12 and when she returned to pick it up Dec. 20, it was missing from the house at August Alp Ct.
  • Police stopped a woman accused of shoplifting $48 of items from Dierbergs on Dec. 21. 
  • A 37-year-old man reported a check was stolen from his checkbook between Dec. 18 and Dec. 21 and cashed for $27 at Imo's Pizza.
  • Petromart reported a gas drive off for $43 from their gas station on Elm Street on Dec. 21.
  • Hucks on Country Club Road reported a gas drive off for $25 on Dec. 21.
  • A 54-year-old woman reported someone stole her prescription morphine from a building on South Cadillac Drive on Dec. 21.
  • A 30-year-old man was arrested on Dec. 22 for stealing a Play Station 3 from a vehicle parked at 129 Oak Leaf. The property was returned.
  • A woman reported on Dec. 21 at 11:30 p.m. that her vehicle was stolen from the city parking garage, but it was subsequently located behind Llywelyn's Pub undamaged and with nothing missing.
  • A 28-year-old woman reported that she placed her wallet in her shopping cart at a store at Regency Parkway and upon going to pay for her items, discovered it had been stolen on Dec. 22. 
  • Police took a shoplifter into custody on Dec. 22 for shoplifting an iPhone case from a business at Veterans Memorial Parkway.
  • A man wearing an orange sweatshirt reportedly entered Dierbergs on Dec. 22 and stole more than $400 in King Crab Legs and lobster tails and left in a Jeep or Trailblazer. 
  • A purse was stolen from a cart at a business on Mexico Road in St. Charles on Dec. 23. 
  • A 31-year-old woman reported her cell phone was stolen at Ameristar Casino on Dec. 24.
  • A lawn mower and weed trimmers valued at more than $3,000 were reportedly stolen from a building on Park Avenue between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. Dec. 21.
  • Shoplifting was reported at Walmart at 6 p.m. Dec. 24.
  • A 79-year-old woman reported a necklace was stolen from her jewelry box in her house on No. 5 Green Drive in St. Charles sometime between Dec. 18 and Dec. 22.
  • Time Center Apartments reported someoen removed apartment keys from a lock box in an apartment leasing office between Dec. 23 and Dec. 26. Three doors were fund locked on the ground level of the leasing office.

Burglary

  • A 61-year-old man reported his home on Huntington Parkway was broken into and about $300 in cash was taken between 5 p.m. Nov. 24 and 5 p.m. Dec. 10. The incident was reported Dec. 23. 
  • A 47-year-old woman reported an overnight burglary at her house on Dec. 20. A suspect entered hte house, poured shampoo and fingernail polish remover onc lothing, and broke eggs under a bed, then stole a bracelet, a camera and Harley Davidson jacket.

Property Damage

  • An 81-year-old woman reported that someone drove a vehicle through the vacant lot next to her house and her front yard on Clarence Drive, putting deep ruts in the lawn sometime overnight between 11 p.m. Dec. 23 and 7:20 a.m. Dec. 25.
  • A 59-year-old man reported that someone broke the bug deflector from the front of his truck, which was parked on King Drive, between 6 p.m. Dec. 24 and 9:50 a.m. Dec. 25.

Fighting

  • Two people were arrested at 12 a.m. Dec. 25 after fighting in the 100 block of North Main Street.
