St. Charles Police Reports: $7,000 Lawnmower Stolen from City

The following arrest information was supplied by the St. Charles Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

  • A city-owned lawn mower valued at $7,000 was stolen from the water treatment plant building between Nov. 8 and Nov. 9.
  • Police issued a summons to a person who had a fake ID on Main Street on Nov. 18.
  • Police saw a man drinking from an open beer bottle in front of Brick City on Main Street and took him into custody on Nov. 18.
  • Police arrested a suspect inside Baja Rock Club for posession of marijuana and paraphenelia.
  • A woman was arrested after giving a police officer the middle finger while on Main Street Nov. 19. The woman refused to leave the area and was arrested, then kicked the officer, according to the police information.
  • A man urinated on the passenger side of a police car while in the breezeway of North Main Street on Nov. 19.

Peace Disturbance

  • A suspect was arrested outside of Baja Rock Club on Nov. 17 at 1:49 a.m. after having been ejected from the club earlier in the night, he returned and attempted to start a fight with the club D.J., according to the police reports.

Theft

  • Twelve lines of electrical wire containing 1,200 feet of copper were removed from a transformer box on a light pole that was attatched to teh side of the former St. Charles School District Administrative Center at 1025 Country Club Road. The wire was reportedly taken between 12:15 p.m. Nov. 16 and 6:30 a.m. Nov. 17.
  • About $1,675 worth of jewelry was reportedly stolen from a home in the 800 block of Perry between 7:15 a.m. and 8:20 a.m. Nov. 17
  • Three guns were reportedly taken from an unlocked gun closet in the garage of a home on Wood Eagles Drive. The guns were reported missing Nov. 17.
  • A 75-year-old woman had her purse and wallet stolen out of her shopping cart at Dierbergs on Nov. 17. A suspect was arrested and her property returned.
  • Two laptop computers were reportedly taken from Lincoln Elementary on Nov. 17.
  • A television and two gaming systems were reportedly stolen from Eastview Drive. The theft was reported Nov. 17.
  • A wallet was taken from an unlocked vehicle parked on Fox Hill Road between 8 p.m. Nov. 11 and 10 a.m. Nov. 12. The theft was reported Nov. 17.
  • An Xbox 360 and controller were reportedly taken from AJK Enterprises on Nov. 17.
  • A man reported his 1998 Ford Windstar was stolen after a potential buyer asked to take it for a test drive, and never returned it. The car was valued at $1,800.
  • Cardinals baseball items including autographed baseballs and plaques were reportedly stolen from a home on Oakleaf Drive on Nov. 20.
  • A Power Wheels Barbie Jeep was stolen out of a victim's yard on North Third Street around 10 p.m. Nov. 19 by a juvenile and adult. The victim's son saw the two going up the street and with the jeep and told his father, who retrieved teh jeep. The juvenile was apprehended on North Second Street.
  • A student reported his iPhone was reportedly taken from his locker on Nov. 18.
  • Change and a radar detector were taken from two vehicles parked on Alberta Drive between 5 p.m. and 10 p.m. Nov. 22.
