Police: $4K Worth of Jewelry Stolen; 'Soda Bottle' Bomb Damages Home

Property Damage

  • A "soda bottle bomb" at Wheeling Drive on Feb. 16 caused damage to side of a residence. 
  • A subject was arrested for trespassing, resisting arrest, and property damage in the 100 block of North Main on Feb. 17.

Minor in Possession

  • A minor was found in possession of alcohol at Howell Street on Feb. 16. 

Assault 3rd

  • At Oakdale Ave on Feb. 17, a male subject arrested for assault and a female was arrested for interfering with an officer.
  • At Ameristar Blvd. on Feb. 17 police responded to a domestic assault between a boyfriend and girlfriend. A female was arrested.

  • A subject arrested for peace disturbance and resisting arrest on North Main Street on Feb. 17.

Stealing

  • A female shoplifter was arrested without incident in the 2800 block of Veterans Memorial Parkway. Among the items stolen were a hair brush, hair straightener and other cosmetic items. The value of the items was estimated at $218. 
  • Jewelry and other precious metals were taken from Kettering Drive on Feb. 17. The estimated property loss was $4,080. There was no forced entry in the residence. 

Possession of Controlled Substance, Marijuana ,

  • A subject was released on summonses for possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia at Mango Drive on Feb. 17.
  • A subject was arrested for possession of marijuana at Cunningham Ave. on Feb. 17.

Burglary

  • The inside of the kiosks in the 3200 block of Rue Royale were vandalized by unknown subjects on Feb. 18.

Trespassing

  • A subject was trespassing at Cunningham Ave. on private property asking residents if he could purchase cocaine on Feb. 18.

Urinating In Public

  • A subject observed urinating on the sidewalk on Jefferson at N. Main on Feb. 18.
