St. Charles Man Steals From Grandfather's House, Sets Fire to Home

Police said Kyle S. Ronan stole three firearms and a car from his grandfather, a Maryland Heights resident.

A St. Charles man stole his grandfather’s firearms and car and then set fire to his grandfather’s Maryland Heights home Saturday.

Kyle S. Ronan, 28, of Santa Rosa Court in St. Charles, was charged Wednesday with second-degree arson, stealing firearms and stealing a motor vehicle.

Maryland Heights Police said Ronan stole three firearms, a .38 cal Smith and Wesson revolver, a Savage .22 cal long rifle and a Ruger .22 cal rifle owned by his grandfather.

Ronan then set fire to the home on Grand Circle Drive in Maryland Heights and stole his grandfather’s 2000 Chevrolet Malibu.

Warrants were issued Wednesday for Ronan’s arrest. Bail was set at $75,000.
