St. Charles Man Shot Dead in North County

A St. Charles man was shot and killed Saturday night in the 8700 block of Riverview, according to a report from KSDK.

Kelvin Houston, 21, of St. Charles, died at the hospital following the shooting. The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports Houston was shot twice in the back. 

A woman was taken into custody after the shooting, but the Post-Dispatch reports the St. Louis Metropolitan Police, citing a lack of cooperating witnesses have not charged the woman. 

According to the Post-Dispatch, police learned of the incident after being  summoned to the hospital where Houston was being treated for his gunshot wounds. The woman was later arrested at the scene of the shooting and a weapon was recovered.
