St. Charles Man Dies in Fatal Car Accident on I-70

Grant Hulett, 31, was ejected from a car on Interstate 70 near Lake Saint Louis Boulevard before being pronounced dead on scene.

A St. Charles man is dead following a single-car accident on Interstate 70 Friday evening.

Grant Hulett, 31, of , was a passenger in a car driving westbound on I-70 near Lake Saint Louis Boulevard when he was ejected from the car after it swerved to avoid another car. The car traveled across all three lanes of traffic, struck the median barrier and overturned four times.

Hulett, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol website, was wearing a safety device. He was pronounced dead on scene at 6:54 p.m.

The driver of the car was uninjured. 

According to Fox 2 News, the westbound lanes of I-70 were blocked for a little more than an hour.

No he was not wearing a seatbelt. His younger brother was. Please pray for the family and tell your friends and family to always wear their seatbelt. Do not drive off if someone refuses to wear one. Tell them to walk.
