St. Charles Man Accused of Choking Girlfriend

Ronald Lewis was arrested in St. Peters. The victim told St. Peters Police she thought she was going to die.

A man is being charged with domestic assault in St. Peters.

Ronald Lewis, 57, of the 100 block of Arnold Place in St. Charles, is accused of holding his ex-girlfriend of five years down and choking her for about one minute on Friday.

The victim told police she thought she “was going to die,” according to the Probable Cause statement filed by .

Lewis told police he’s been under a lot of stress and felt that is why he “snapped” on his victim. He posted $20,000 bond on Saturday.
