Police Seek Masked Man in Attempted Armed Robbery

Woman was approached by man wearing Halloween mask who displayed a handgun.

An man wearing a Halloween mask approached a woman and demanded her money and jewelry last week, according to .  

Police are investigating the attempted armed robbery, which took place around 9:30 p.m. May 29 in the 2300 block of Eagle Forest Drive in St. Charles. 

The woman was approached in her driveway by the man, described as 5'11 with a thin build. The person displayed a handgun described as "black" and demanded her jewelry. After the woman realized it wasn't a prank, she shoved a box she was carrying at the suspect and started screaming.

The suspect ran from the scene and entered a dark-colored car, possibly a Honda.
