Police Search for Person Who Robbed Fantastic Sams

St. Charles Police Reports between March 2 and 8.

Police are looking for a man who robbed the Fantastic Sams, 2305 Elm Street, March 2 at knife point. 

The suspect was a white male wearing black tennis shoes with grey or silver stripes, track pants with blue stripes, a black or navy stocking cap, reflective sun glasses and some kind of stocking cap. 

The suspect took an undetermined amount of U.S. currency, said Lt. Mike Akers of the St. Charles Police. The case is under investigation.

Home robbed 

Residents of a home in the 10 block of Quiet Brook Court discovered the home had been robbed and reported the break-in to police at 5:17 p.m. March 6. Two flat screen TVs, speakers, an iPod Touch, U.S. currency, stereo and jewelry were reportedly taken from the house. In addition, a gun safe had been pried open and two guns were taken. Police said there was no forced entry on the home.

Trailer recovered 

A 12 foot by 6 foot cargo trailer was reported missing March 7, although the owner said it had been stolen sometime between June and July 2009. The trailer was recovered by the Metro East Auto Theft Taskforce, police said. 

License plates taken

License plates were reportedly taken from vehicles in the 1500 block of Rutgers Lane, the 1800 block of Santa Clara, 2200 block of N. Fourth Street, 2200 block of N. Third Street between March 2 and 8.
