Police Reports: Purses Stolen From Cars

St. Charles Police Reports Feb. 3-4. The following arrest information was supplied by the St. Charles Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Protective Custody

  • A man was taken into protective custody on Feb. 3 after he used a piece of glass to cut his wrist.

Suicide

  • A 19-year-old woman attempted suicide at a location on South Fifth Street in St. Charles around 6 a.m. Feb. 3. She was admitted to for evaluation.

  • St. Charles Police arrested a fugitive at Vine and Park at 7:55 a.m. Feb. 3.

Stealing

  • An iPhone was reportedly stolen from Bobby's on Main Street between midnight and 1 a.m. Feb. 3.
  • Someone shoplifted about $70 in items including dill pickles, dental floss, chocolates, lip gloss and nail polish around 5:45 p.m. Feb. 3 from a business on Zumbehl Road.
  • A gas station reported someone stole gas and other unknown items around 5:48 p.m. Feb. 3 before fleeing in a stolen vehicle.
  • A 31-year-old woman reported her purse was stolen from a car parked at Westview Drive at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 4.
  • A 33-year-old woman reported her purse was stolen from her vehicle on Kunze Drive around 10 p.m. Feb. 4.

Property Damage

  • A 28-year-old woman reported her vehicle window was broken out while parked behind a business in the 100 block of South Main Street between 11:15 p.m. Feb. 2 and 9 a.m. Feb. 3.
  • A business in the 200 block of North Main Street was damaged with grafitti on Feb. 3 at 11:30 a.m.

Assault

  • A 21-year-old man was assaulted around 7:30 p.m. Feb. 3 at a location in the Trails of Sunbrook. The suspect was arrested.
  • A 35-year-old woman was assaulted on Main Street in St. Charles around midnight Feb. 4.
  • Two people were arrested for domestic assault in the third degree at Barton Place between 2:41 a.m. Feb. 4.
  • Police arrested two people at Harry S. Truman Blvd. around 3:23 a.m. Feb. 4. The man was arrested for domestic assault and possession of marijuana. The woman was arrested for a warrant out of St. Louis County.

Peace Disturbance

  • Police reported to a complaint of peace disturbance on Perry Street around 7:48 p.m. Feb. 3.

DWI

  • Police arrested a motorist for driving while intoxicated at Bass Pro Drive and Fifth Street around 1:45 a.m. Feb. 4.

Harassment

  • A 42-year-old man at Wheaton Drive reported harassment by phone at 9:37 p.m. Feb. 4.
  • A 20-year-old woman at Clock Tower Square reported harassment by phone at 2:12 p.m. Feb. 4.

Urinating in Public

  • A man was arrested for urinating on the corner of the gas station. He was arrested and taken to the Police Station.
