Police Reports: New Town Display Home Robbed

St. Charles Police Reports, Dec. 7 and 8.

St. Charles Police reports are provided by the St. Charles Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction. 

A 42 inch flat-screen TV was taken from a display home in the 3500 block of Broad Street in New Town between 6 p.m. Dec. 8 and 10 a.m. Dec. 9. Some framed photos were also stolen from the home.

Stealing

  • A laptop was taken from an unlocked vehicle parked on Foxborough Circle between 5 p.m. Dec. 7 and 6:35 a.m. Dec. 10.
  • A cell phone was reportedly stolen from a backpack at Jefferson Intermediate School on Dec. 5. 

Refusing to Cooperate

  • Police arrested a man who was observed arguing with a woman in the 200 block of North Main Street around midnight Dec. 7 and refused to cooperate. He was taken down with a leg sweep and handcuff after he assumed a fighting stance.
