Police Reports: Man Says Radar Detector Stolen from Car

St. Charles Police Reports March 28-29. The following arrest information was supplied by the St. Charles Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Stealing

  • A 23-year-old man reported his license plate tabs were stolen from his vehicle between March 21 and March 28.
  • A 28-year-old man reported his ex-girlfriend came into his house off of Ameristar Blvd. using a key he gave her, took a picture of an ultrasound off the wall and left the key on the floor.
  • About $85 worth of merchandise was reported stolen from on Fifth Street  on March 28 at 7:16 p.m.
  • A 25-year-old woman reported her credit card was lost or stolen while at between 9 p.m. March 24 and 7 a.m. March 25, then used at Mobile on South Fifth Street.
  • Police arrested two people for shoplifting about $64 in merchandise from Walmart around 6:40 p.m. March 29.
  • A 53-year-old man reported a vehicle window was broken out and a radar detector, valued at $350, was stolen on March 29 between 8:30 and 9:30 p.m.

Protective Custody

  • Police took a person who was seen stumbling down the road on South Fifth Street around midnight March 28 into protective custody.

Assault

  • A 29-year-old woman was attacked by three people on North 3rd Street between 1:15 a.m. and 1:30 a.m. March 29. She refused medical treatment.
  • A 21-year-old man was hit twice by a suspect at Veterans Memorial Parkway around 3 p.m. March 29

Property Damage

  • A 19-year-old woman reported her front tire was slashed while parked at the Trails of Sunbrook between midnight and 8 a.m. March 29.

Stealing Gas

  • On March 28 around 6 p.m., a suspect pumped gas without paying for it and promised the clerk of a gas station on Droste Rd. he would return. Polce responded to the man’s address, but found it vacant. He is wanted for stealing.
  • About $55 in gas was reportedly stolen from Fast Lane on Old Highway 94 around 8:45 a.m. March 29.

Driving While Intoxicated

  • Police stopped a driver for failing to maintain a lane, found the person to be intoxicated and arrested the person for a DWI at First Capitol and Sherman Drives on March 28 around 12:41 a.m.

Peace Disturbance/Trespassing

  • Police responded to a report of a peace disturbance on North Third Street around 1 p.m. March 28 and found the home to be unfit.
  • Police arrested five people who were sleeping inside a house in the 900 block of North Fifth Street on March 29 around 11:15 a.m. The house had been posted by the city as uninhabitable.
