Police Reports: Employees Accused of Stealing Electronics from North Main Business

St. Charles Police Reports April 7-9. The following arrest information was supplied by the St. Charles Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Multiple electronic items were stolen allegedly by employees of a business on North Main Street between 6 p.m. Jan. 29 and midnight Jan. 30. The incident was reported April 7.

Peace Disturbance 

  • Police arrested someone for peace disturbance on North Main Street on April 7. 
  • A 42-year-old man was given a ticket for peace disturbance after he went door-to-door asking residents for gas or money around Lindenwood Avenue around 9:55 p.m. April 8.

  • A 19-year-old man reported his vehicle window was smashed with a concrete block on Santa Ynez Ct. around 2:33 a.m. April 7.
  • A truck parked in the 300 block of Monclair Tower Drive was egged. The 33-year-old victim reported the incident around 9:25 a.m. April 7.

Stealing

  • A 17-year-old woman reported $230 in items including a purse and wallet were stolen from a vehicle parked on North Kingshighway between 7 a.m. April 7 and 8:28 a.m. April 7.
  • A Tom Tom GPS and set of keys were taken from a vehicle left unlocked in the 1500 block of Lynndale. The incident was reported around April 7 around 9:15 a.m.
  • A purse and wallet were reported stolen from a vehicle parked on North Kingshighway between midnight and 7 a.m. April 7. 
  • Police arrested someone for shoplifting from on Veterans Memorial Parkway around 3:17 p.m. April 7. Among the items stolen were Easter candy, a yo yo, bubbles, lip balm, and a doll.
  • Two shoplifters were taken into custody from Walmart on April 7 at 9:30 p.m. After searching their car, police found marijuana and marijuana pipes.
  • A 46-year-old man reported electronic equipment was removed from a vehicle parked at Water Oak Ct. around 2:19 a.m. April 8. The equipment was valued at $85.
  • A HP notebook laptop was taken from a dorm room on South Kingshighway between 9:50 a.m. and 12:50 p.m. April 9. 

Dog Bite

  • Police responded to a call about a neighborhood dog who attacked two dogs and one person, who suffered minor injuries around 7:49 p.m. April 7 on Olsney Drive.
  • A report was received that a dog attacked another dog in the 500 block of San Juan around 9:30 p.m. April 4.  

Gas Stealing

  • A gas drive-off was reported at on Fifth Street in St. Charles around 10:15 a.m. April 7. 

Driving While Intoxicated

  • Police arrested someone who was seen driving the wrong way down a one-way road at Adams St. and North Fifth Street around 12:15 a.m. April 8. The driver was arrested for driving while intoxicated. 

Abandoned Animal 

  • A woman was seen entering a condemned property on Cole Blvd. and left a dog behind who had no access to food or water around 6 p.m. April 8.
