Police Reports: Checkbook, Camera Stolen from Home While Owners Sleep

St. Charles Police Reports March 30-31. The following arrest information was supplied by the St. Charles Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A checkbook, credit cards and digital camera left on the kitchen counter of a home on Woodford Place were stolen while the home owners were asleep overnight. The incident was reported March 30.

Burglary

  • Police discovered a known burglar had taken a credit card from a 53-year-old woman who lives on Clarendon Ln., although she didn’t realize it had been missing. The woman lives near other burglaries and police believe she left the garage door open the night the theft occurred.

  • Police took two juvenile girls into custody for stealing loose change from a parked vehicle around 1 a.m. March 30 on South Sixth Street.
  • A 27-year-old man reported a cell phone was stolen from the Heart of St. Charles Banquet Center between 8:30 and 11 p.m. March 30.

Assault

  • A 19-year-old man was hit from behind and knocked out while in a fight at on March 30 at 11 a.m.

  • A woman broke out the front window of a building in the 500 block of South Fifth Street after being requested to leave between midnight and 11 a.m. March 30.
  • A 21-year-old woman reported that her ex-boyfriend broke off the door handles of her car door on March 31. The ex-boyfriend turned himself in at the station and was issued a ticket for property damage.
  • The front glass door of a business was broken on North Second Street between 6 p.m. March 31 and 9 a.m. March 31.
  • Police arrested an intoxicated woman who argued with her boyfriend, and then kicked him after her boyfriend’s mother told her to leave the home on Lakeshore Drive around 2:48 a.m. March 31.

Missing Person Report

  • A woman called at 11:10 p.m. March 30 to report that her 15-year-old son was missing when he did not arrive home by 11 p.m., although his curfew is 10 p.m. The boy returned home voluntarily at 3:30 a.m.

Urinating in Public

  • A suspect was observed urinating behind a bar on North Main Street around 1:23 a.m. March 31.
