Police Reports: Business Window Damaged on Main Street

St. Charles Police Reports Feb. 8 to 10.

The following arrest information was supplied by the St. Charles Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Property Damage

  • The front window of a business in the 300 block of North Main Street was reportedly broken out between 7 p.m. Feb. 10 and 8 a.m. Feb. 11. 

Burglary

  • A suspected entered a home on Foxborough Circle between 6:45 p.m. Jan. 7 and 1:30 a.m. Feb. 8 and stole credit cards from a 52-year-old woman's purse.
  • A business owner off of Old Highway 94 South reported that the garage door of the business was forced open and the register and cash were stolen between 5 p.m. Feb. 9 and 4:30 a.m. Feb. 10.  

Stealing 

  • A 19-year-old woman reported a laptop, iPod Nano, coach purse, backpack and GPS device were stolen from an unlocked car parked overnight on Lindenwood University campus Feb. 8.
  • A 66-year-old woman who lives at Westminister Drive reported Feb. 8 that someone had stolen more than $9,000 worth of jewelry. She reported she suspected a relative who had been cleaning her house.
  • A 44-year-old woman left her wedding ring on the counter in the break room of a business off of Fountain Lakes Blvd. on Feb. 8 and when she returned hours later it was gone. 
  • A 56-year-old woman reported someone took $120 from her purse while it was sitting on the cashier counter of a business on Veterans Memorial Parkway around 1 p.m. Feb. 9. 
  • A teacher reported a juvenile student stole eight books, valued at $80, from her on Feb. 8.
  • A 59-year-old woman reported her laptop computer and purse were taken from her vehicle while it was parked off of Mexico Road around 4:10 Feb. 10. 

Overdose

  • Police responded to a person who had an apparent overdose of pills at a home on Saint George Lane around 11:55 p.m. Feb. 8. The person was taken to an area hosptial and admitted.

Protective Custody

  • Police took a highly intoxicated person into custody after the person refused to leave Starbucks around 11:30 p.m. Feb. 8.

Assault

  • Police arrested a 24-year-old man for assault and property damage after they were called to behind the 200 block of North Main Street for a disturbance around 1:30 a.m. Feb. 9. 

Possession of a Controlled Substance

  • Police stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation on Westbound Interstate 70 around 3:15 a.m. Feb. 9. The driver was arrested for driving while intoxicated, possession of marijuana and drug paraphenalia.
