Police Reports: Burglaries on South Main Street, Westminister Drive

St. Charles Police Reports Feb. 16-17.

Burglary 

  • A 36-year-old woman reported a burglary at her home on Granger Blvd. Between 5:30 a.m. and 9:30 p.m. Feb. 15. Nothing was taken from the home, but a screen from the bedroom window was taken to the basement.
  • A 55-year-old woman reported someone stole a 42” television and set of cordless tools from a home on Westminister between 4 p.m. and 11 p.m. Feb. 16. The front door was unlocked and there were no signs of forced entry, according to the report.
  • Three South Main Street businesses were broken into overnight on Feb. 16. Someone broke in through the rear window of one business, taking money from the cash register.

Stealing

  • A 65-year-old man reported a handgun was stolen out of an unlocked vehicle between 8 a.m. Jan. 17 and noon Feb. 11 that was parked on South Sixth Street. The theft was reported Feb. 15.
  • A 68-year-old man reported that someone entered his vehicle parked at Lake Forest Lane in St. Charles between 9:30 p.m. Feb. 5 and 8 a.m. Feb. 6 and took a computer and other items valued at more than $4,000. The incident was reported Feb. 15.
  • Two bottles of alcohol were reported stolen from around 10:30 p.m. Feb. 16. 
  • Two heating units were reportedly stolen from behind . The incident was reported around 7 a.m. Feb. 17.
  • More than $900 in merchandise was stolen from between 4 and 5:30 p.m.  Feb. 17.
  • A 1976 Honda motorcycle was reportedly stolen from Cole Blvd. between 11 p.m. Feb. 15 and 8:30 a.m. Feb. 16. 
  • A 35-year-old woman reported items were stolen from her vehicle at North Fourth Street in St. Charles between 9 p.m. Feb. 14 and 7:45 a.m. Feb. 15. A stolen check was used to purchase electronics from Best Buy online. The incident was reported Feb. 17.
  • A wallet which had several IDs in it was reportedly stolen from on South Main Street between 5 and 11:59 p.m. Feb. 10. The theft was reported Feb. 17.

Threats

  • Police arrested a woman who was threatening her sister around 10 p.m. Feb. 15. The woman failed to comply with directions of the officer, according to the report.

Property Damage 

  • A windshield of a vehicle parked at Bel Rae Ct. was damaged by an unknown object between 10 p.m. Feb. 15 and 12:30 a.m. Feb. 16. 

Death Investigation 

  • Police responded to a death investigation at Meadowbrook Ct. on Feb. 16.

Animals 

  • Police responded to a complaint about five dogs acting aggressive at a home on McDonough St. in St. Charles on Feb. 16. 

Drugs

  • Police arrested a driver who was pulled over for a traffic stop at Barthel St and North Fifth Street Feb. 16 after finding marijuana and pills inside after the driver consented to a search. 

Driving While Intoxicated

  • Police arrested a driver for Driving While Intoxicated at the intersection of South First Capitol Drive and Veterans Memorial Parkway around 2:25 a.m. Feb. 17.
