Police Blotter: Woman Finds Front Door Pried Open, Nothing Missing

St. Charles Police Reports Sept. 30 to Oct. 2.

St. Charles police reports are provided by St. Charles Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction. 

Property Damage 

  • A woman returned to her house around 11 p.m. Oct. 2 near the 1100 block of Barrington to find her front door pried open and damage to the door frame. No items were missing, however. 
  • A vehicle drove through a house in the 1700 block of Fox Glove between midnight and 6 a.m. Sept. 30. 
  • Damage was reported at the BC Group at Elm Point Industrial Drive between 2 p.m. Sept. 29 and 11  a.m. Oct. 1. 

Soliciting

  • Police arrested someone for soliciting occupants of cars at West Interstate 70 and Cave Springs around 2:45 p.m. Sept. 30.

Open Container

  • Police arrested someone who was observed drinking in public at Barthel Street and North Fifth Street between 3:30 p.m. Sept. 30.

Stealing

  • Beer was reportedly taken from Circle K on Elm Street around 9 a.m. Oct. 1. 
  • A 22-year-old woman reported her engagement ring was lost while walking on North Main Street around midnight Oct. 1. 
  • A license plate was stolen from a car parked at Ameristar Blvd in St. Charles around 9 p.m. 
  • Someone stole gas, soda and snacks from a gas station on South Fifth Street around 9:30 p.m. Oct. 1. 
  • Someone reported a firearm was stolen from the 600 block of Jackson between Sept. 10 and Oct. 2. 
  • A 26-year-old man reported a bag was stolen from his kayak which was on North Main Street which contained a digital camera with a telephoto lens and a camera bag. The incident was reported around 6 p.m. Oct. 2. 

Assault

  • A 31-year-old man was reportedly assaulted by an ex-girlfriend at Boones Lick Road around 7 p.m. Oct. 1. 

Domestic Violence

  • Police responded to a domestic dispute and suicidal threats at a home on Vine Street around 10:30 p.m. Oct. 1.
