Police: Tools, Tires and Chrome Wheels Stolen from Burglarized Storage Units

The following information was supplied by the St. Charles Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Burglary

  • Two suspects forced entry into a North Trail Heartland 21 FBS travel trailer which was parked on the north end of the storage lot on March 23. Substantial damage was caused to the door and frame and window just to the left of the door.
  • Suspects entered storage facility lot at Elm Point Industrial Drive and proceeded to attempt force entry on a 2007 Copper Canyon Fifth Wheel RV. The RV was parked in slip 19 which is near the center of the parking lot. Entry was attempted via the entry door on the right side of RV. Unsuccessfully the suspects shattered a window on the left rear of the RV to gain entry. Unknown if anything was taken.

Stealing

  • Suspects entered utility trailer at Elm Point Industrial Drive on March 23 by cutting the two locks located on the back drop down door on the trailer. Once inside, the suspects rummaged through boxes that were stacked in the trailer. Four chrome wheels and tires were removed from the trailer. At this time that is the only thing known to be missing. The wheels were an unknown brand but measured 20" X 9" with a chrome finish and a five spoke design. The tires were Toyo Brand 285/50/20.
  • Suspects cut lock of storage unit and once inside rummaged through storage bins. The suspect located Craftsman Brand tools and took said tools.
  • A firearm was stolen from a residence in the 2900 block of Droste between June 25 and Jan. 7.

  • The suspect struck victim's vehicle at Mexico Road on March 23 and drove off.
