Police Blotter: Thief Steals $2,000 Worth of Haircutting Equipment

The following information was supplied by the St. Charles Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Stealing Of A Motor Vehicle

  • A 1995 Mercury Villager, valued at $1,000, was stolen at Quality Inn on S. Fifth Street.

Stealing
  • Dress pants were taken from Walmart. 
  • An unlocked vehicle was entered overnight in driveway. Haircutting tools taken including multiplescissors, razors, electric clippers and attachments. Items were stored in tan "Great Clips" totebag.
Drug Possession 
  • Traffic stop ended with the driver arrested for possession of marijuana, warrant, and other traffic charges. Passenger released at the scene. Vehicle towed.
  • A subject in the 1000 block of Dardenne was cited for possession of marijuana.
  • Heroin addicted subject stopped for a disturbance and found to be in possession of syringescontaining residue.

Driving While Revoked
  • Subject arrested operating a golf cart in the 200 block of Clark.

DWI
  • Driver slumped over the wheel. Driver arrested for DWI.
  • Intoxicated motorist arrested at Zumbehl Road.
