Police Blotter: St. Charles Police Use Stop Sticks to Catch Fleeing Driver

Stealing

  • A customer left a Moto Mart on S. 5th Street without paying for $80 woth of gas on March 13. 
  • License plates and tabs were stolen at First Capitol Drive between March 12 and March 13. The tabs, valueda at $20, was taken from the parking garage of St. Joseph's ER. There are no suspects or witnesses. 
  • A purse, wallet, debit card, credit card cell phone and change were stolen after a female left her purse at Walmart on March 12. 

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

  • A suspect was arrested for drug paraphernalia and marijuana in the 1800 block of Sherman Drive on March 13. 

Driving While Revoked

  • A subject was arrested for traffic violations and active warrants at eastbound Interstate 70 on March 13. 

Robbery

  • Victim was leaving Golden Corral when he was confronted by an armed subject in the parking lot on March 13. The victim handed over his personal belongings and the subject left the area on foot.

Assist Other Agency

  • The St. Charles Police Department used Stop Sticks during an O'Fallon Police Department pursuit on Highway 370 on March 14. The Stop Stick deployment was successful and the subject was taken into custody.
