Police Blotter: Computer Fraud Hooks Victim for $24,000

The following information was supplied by the St. Charles Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Burglary

  • A burglary was reported at at Brookdale Drive between the hours of 6:30 a.m. and 12:50 p.m. on April 28. Items were taken from a shed after the door was forced open. Attempted force was made at the front door of home as well however, suspect believed not to have made entry into home. No suspect information.
  • Burglary not in progress in the 3500 block of Franks Drive. Among the items taken were: a suitcase, table, plastic drawer unit. 
Tamper with Computer Data to Defraud
  • Computer fraud involving the loss of $24,100 in the 2700 block of Droste Road.
Stealing
  • Theft from utility trailer on parking lot at Browning Court. 
  • Gas, $48 worth, was taken without pay from S. First Capitol Drive.
Forgery
  • Forgery was reported in the 2000 block of S. Old Highway 94.
