Police Blotter: Bicyclist Hits Car, Flees the Scene

The following information was supplied by the St. Charles Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Property Damage

  • Six tires were damaged on the parking lot at Scherer Parkway. No suspect information.
  • Damage was done to personal belongings/property at Plaza Court.
  • Vehicle struck by a subject on a bicycle in the 300 block of First Capitol Drive. The bicycle left a scratch on right rear quarter panel of vehicle, and the subject fled the area.
Counterfeit
  • A counterfeit bill was passed to a bank in a large deposit. There is no suspect.
Domestic, Verbal Only
  • Police responded to a verbal domestic between boyfriend and girlfriend at Dartmouth Drive on May 15.
Stealing
  • Suspect stole $60 from business at Zumbehl Road on May 15 by using a quick change scam.
  • Items, valued at $1,000 were taken from a building on Elm Street on May 16.
  • Stolen cell phone from the 1400 block of Fifth Street.
  • The victim was inside an establishment in the 300 block of Main Street where her wallet was removed from her purse.
  • Items, valued at $530, were stolen from the 2400 block of Westminister theft from unlocked motor vehicle.
Assault 3rd
  • The victim stated suspect attempted to punch her. No locate on suspect.
Found Property
  • A wallet was found behind Tuner's Bar at 130 S. Main Street on May 15. 
Forgery
  • Subject arrested for soliciting motor vehicles and another arrested for forgery.
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia 
  • A traffic stop at the 300 block of N. Second Street led to discovery of drugs/paraphernalia.
DWI
  •  A DWI arrest was made in the 1100 block of S. Fifth Street on May 17.
