'Pipe Bomb Type' Devices With Threatening Writings Found in St. Charles Man's Home

A St. Charles man was found to have two pipe bomb-type devices along with writings that described acts of killing people in his house. Police got permission to search his house after he sold drugs to undercover cops.

A St. Charles man was arrested this week after police say they found plastic "pipe bomb type" devices and threatening writings in a search of his home, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

According to the report, police found two "apparent improvised explosives devices," writings that contained "hand written words describing acts of killing people," a large bag of fireworks and what they suspect was drugs, in March during a search of Ehrick Stefan Preis' home in the 3600 block of Kennet Drive.
