Update: 73-Year-Old Missing Woman With Alzheimer's Found at Medical Facility

St. Charles Police have found Norma Higgins, 73, who disappeared from her home in the 1300 block of Dartmouth.

Update: 

St. Charles Police found Norma Higgins, 73, at a local medical facility Wednesday. Higgins had been there since last night, Police said. Higgins, who has Alzheimer's, was reported missing by family members Tuesday afternoon.

St. Charles Police are searching for a missing elderly woman with Alzheimer's, who was last seen by family members Tuesday around 1:30 p.m.

Norma Higgins, 73, was last seen by family members at her home in the 1300 block of Dartmouth around 1:30 p.m. Tuesday. Family members returned to her home around 3 p.m. and discovered she was gone, along with her walker.

Higgins is about 5'3", weighs between 250 and 300 pounds, and typically wears white Sketcher brand tennis shoes. She has dementia and Alzheimer's and is on medication. Higgins suffers from dementia and Alzheimer’s and is on medication.

Overnight and evening searches of the area with a Police helicopter were unsuccessful. A medical alert notification has been made throughout the region to police departments and hospitals.
