Man Pushed Ex-Girlfriend’s Face Through Window, Police Say

St. Charles Police said the Portage des Sioux man also pushed her onto a couch and damaged her television.

A man pushed his ex-girlfriend hard enough that her face broke a window, giving her multiple cuts, police said. One of the cuts required four stitches.

Daniel Oliver, 31, of the 1200 block of Drummond in Portage des Sioux, was charged Friday with second-degree domestic assault.

St. Charles Police said Oliver argued with his ex-girlfriend at her St. Charles home Oct. 14. During the argument, he knocked over a flat screen TV, damaging it, and walked out of the house, police said. He returned and the two began arguing again.

Oliver then pushed the woman onto the couch. She stood up and told him not to put his hands on her. Police said he then put his hands on her back and pushed her toward a window with enough force to cause her face to break the window.

St. Charles Police said Oliver evaded arrest. When he was arrested later, he had several warrants for his arrest, according to court documents. Oliver also faces two charges of driving while revoked.
