Man Charged with Unlawful Use of Weapon After Road Rage Incident

Timothy Baker, 22, reportedly waved a handgun at a victim after a traffic altercation.

A man was charged March 26 with unlawful use of a weapon in St. Charles.

Timothy M. Baker, 22, was charged with the crime related to a March 23 road rage incident.

A motorist told St. Charles police that after a traffic incident at Droste and Norwich, the driver of a red Mercury Milan and followed him to the Ruth Drive and Connie Drive intersection, where he pulled alongside the victim's car.

The victim said the man pulled out a handgun, waived it and pointed it at him. He provided police with the car description and a license plate number. He also described the handgun.

A short time later, police pulled Baker over and found a Smith and Wesson .40 cal handgun in the glove compartment. Baker admitted to waiving the handgun at the victim.

Bond was set at $10,000.
