Man Charged With Series of Burglaries at Storage Facilities

David Kellerman is charged with breaking into storage areas and trailers kept at facilities in Wentzville and St. Charles.

A Maryland Heights man is accused of breaking into a series of storage areas and travel trailers at facilities in Wentzville and St. Charles.

David Kellerman, 40, of the 2100 block of Butterfield Drive in Maryland Heights, was charged Wednesday with two counts of first-degree property damage in St. Charles.

He was charged Friday with four counts of second-degree burglary, three counts of property damage, two counts of felony stealing (more than $500) and three counts of misdemeanor stealing in Wentzville.

Maryland Heights Police arrested Kellerman Monday.

St. Charles Police said Kellerman used wire cutters to cut through a fence at Ample Storage Facility at 3690 Elm Point Road in St. Charles on March 2 and again on March 23.

Once inside the area, he then pried open doors on travel trailers and rummaged through contents, police said. On March 2, he caused $2,644 in damages to the trailer doors and frame. On March 23, he caused $2,762 in damages, according to a court document.

Kellerman is being held by St. Charles County Corrections. Bail was set at $50,000, cash only, on the Wentzville charges. Bail was set at $20,000 for the St. Charles charges.
