Man Broke Woman's Nose, Eye Socket On Main Street in St. Charles, Police Say

St. Charles Police said Charles Forgue also forced the woman back into his car after she tried to get away in the 100 block of North Main Street in St. Charles.

A man attacked his girlfriend on Main Street in St. Charles June 9, breaking her nose and a bone in her eye socket and bruising her ribs.

Charles J. Forgue II, 36, of the 1500 block of Foxham Drive in Chesterfield, was charged June 14 with second-degree domestic assault and felonious restraint.

St. Charles Police said Forgue struck his girlfriend several times in the face and body while driving in St. Charles. The woman jumped from the car in the 100 block of North Main Street, and Forgue chased her down, grabbed her hair and put her in a bear hug, police said. He then put her back in the vehicle against her will, police said.

The woman told police Forgue also assaulted her two months before at the Inn Town Suites at 1769 Veterans Memorial Parkway.

Forgue is being held in St. Charles County jail. Bail was set at $25,000, cash only.
