Man Accused of Harassing Wife by Hacking Accounts, Constant Visits, Videotaping

A woman told officers her estranged husband harasses her by hacking her email accounts, following her, taking videos of her and constantly coming to her home, police said.

Bruce Anthony LaBarge, 41, of Wright City, was charged Friday with violating a protection order. LaBarge has been prohibited from contacting his wife since she took out a restraining order July 18.

St. Charles Police said the woman says LaBarge comes to her house in the 700 block of Boschert in St. Charles every day, often to get one or two items. He visited the home July 18, which violated a protection order taken out against him, according to a report.

Police said LaBarge tracks her via her cell phone and took video as he followed her and sends her the video.

The woman said LaBarge went through her car while she was at work. She said LaBarge also “emotionally abuses” their children by asking them questions about her and tries to get them to say things about their mother, according to a police report.

He also sends her videos of taken while following her and hacked into her email accounts, police said.

LaBarge posted a $10,000 bond Tuesday and was released from jail.
