Homeless Woman Charged in St. Charles Burglaries

Woman had been confronted by homeowner in one break in.

A homeless woman has been charged with a burglary and a burglary attempt in St. Charles in late 2011.

say the woman, Abbey Lynne Page, 30, and was confronted by the homeowner in the 100 block of Brighton Park. She then ran off.

Page also is charged with a burglary in the same neighborhood. According to a written police report, on Nov. 23. Stolen were a laptop valued at $899 and gold and silver jewelry valued at $47,800. Much of the jewelry was sold and melted down, police say.

The woman told police she burglarized homes so she could buy heroin. She was on probation for a burglary in St. Louis County.
