Flags Will Fly at Half-Staff To Honor St. Charles Firefighter

Funeral is set for Monday, Feb. 6.

Gov. Jay Nixon ordered that United States and Missouri flags will be flown at half-staff at all state government buildings in St. Charles and Lincoln Counties on Monday to honor St. Charles Firefighter Doug Haase.

“Firefighter Haase dedicated his life to keeping his community safe,” said Gov. Nixon in a press release. “His courage, dedication and professionalism will not be forgotten. My thoughts and prayers, as well as those of the First Lady, are with his family, colleagues and community as they mourn his loss."

Visitation has been set for 2 to 8 p.m. Feb. 5 at McCoy Blossom Funeral Home in Troy, MO. A firefighter walk through will be at 7:30 p.m. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Feb. 6 at the McCoy-Blossom Funeral Home, 1304 Boone Street in Troy, MO, according to the Missouri Fire Service Funeral Assistance Team
