Drug Task Force Says Man Was On Way to Sell Marijuana

Detectives said suspect had 50 grams of pot individually packaged on way to deal in city of St. Louis.

St. Charles County Drug Task Force detectives arrested a former St. Charles resident for distribution of marijuana.

Detectives said in a report that Henry Lee Brown Jr, 39, had more than 50 grams of marijuana in his vehicle Aug. 20 when they pulled him over at Country Club and Huck Finn drives in St. Charles.

detectives said Brown had the marijuana pre-packaged in baggies, an electronic scale, packaging material and four cell phones in his car.

According to the report, Brown told officers he intended to deliver the marijuana to an unidentified subject in the city of St. Louis, and that he used the cell phones to coordinate drug transactions.

Brown formerly lived in the 3100 block of Southwick Drive in , but detectives said he had moved out of the residence. He was on probation for possession of a controlled substance.

Bond was set at $10,000, cash only.
