Computers, Hardware Stolen From Duchesne High School

Items were taken from unsecured window.

Computers and other hardware valued at more than $13,000 was stolen from overnight between June 5 and 6. 

A thief took advantage of an unsecure screen on an unlocked window in a classroom at the back of the school sometime after 9 p.m. when football practice ended. 

The items were taken from the IT director’s office.

Terry Gravemann, president of the school who will retire at the end of June, said that damage to the school was minimal. The school is insured, he said.

“It’s a situation that we wish didn’t happen but somebody had an opportunity,” he said.
