Police Reports: Business Windows Shot Out With BB Gun

Fighting, stealing and property damage are all part of the St. Charles Police Department Reports for Jan. 27-31.

The following arrest information was supplied by the St. Charles Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Property Damage

  • The front window of a business on Harry S. Truman Blvd. was shot out with a pellet or BB gun between the evening of Jan. 27 and the morning of Jan. 28.
  • Five windows on the northwest side of a building on North Kingshighway were shot out with an apparent BB gun. The incident happened between 9 a.m. Jan. 29 and 9 a.m. Jan. 30.
  • A 55-year-old man reported a broken out window at his home on West Clark Street on Jan. 29.
  • A 53-year-old woman reported that her tires had been slashed overnight on Jan. 28.
  • A woman was parked off of First Capitol Drive and found her door was scratched on Jan. 31.
  • A Chevy S10 pickup truck was keyed while parked on the 100 block of Presswick Lane between 11 p.m. Jan. 26 and 10:30 a.m. Jan. 27.
  • The door on the north side of the Concession stand was vandalized with yellow spray paint between midnight and 11:40 a.m. on Jan. 27.

Stealing

  • A 13-year-old boy reported his bike was stolen from on Zumbehl Road between 7:55 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Jan. 26.
  • A 2000 Hyundai Sonata was reportedly stolen from around the 100 block of North Main Street in St. Charles between 3:50 p.m. Jan. 26 and 2:30 p.m. Jan. 27.
  • An iPod was stolen from an unlocked vehicle on Park Avenue. The theft happened between 9:30 p.m. Jan. 20 and 11 a.m. Jan. 21. It was reported Jan. 28.
  • A gas drive-off of $36 was reported from a gas station on South Fifth Street on Jan. 28 around 3:48 p.m.
  • Two people were arrested for shoplifting items from on Jan. 28.
  • A gas drive-off for $25 was reported from a gas station on Elm Street around 7:35 p.m. Jan. 28.
  • A 17-year-old boy's iPod touch was reportedly stolen from a classroom on Jan. 27.
  • Police arrested someone from shoplifting from Walmart on Jan. 30.

Burglary

  • A storage locker was broken into and items valued at $300 were stolen between 5 p.m. Jan. 27 and midnight Jan. 29.
  • Someone entered a residence on Sundowner Drive overnight on Jan. 30 and stole items valued at more than $1,000 from the home while the residents were sleeping inside.

  • Two people were arrested for fighting on North Main Street around 1 a.m. Jan. 28.
  • Police arrested two people in the city parking garage on Jan. 29 around midnight. One person was arrested for assault in the third degree and interfering with an arrest. The second person was arrested for fighting.
  • Two people were arrested for fighting on South Main Street around 1:30 a.m. Jan. 29.
