Update: Armed Steak 'n Shake Robbers Ram Cop Car Trying to Escape Police
St. Charles police have two 18-year-old men in custody following an armed robbery at the Steak 'n Shake off First Capitol Drive on Wednesday morning.

Joshua A. Stone, 18, of St. Louis, was charged with First Degree Robbery and Armed Criminal Action and is currently being held on a $250,000 bond. Seth J. Thompson, 18, of St. Charles, was charged with First Degree Robbery and Armed Criminal Action and is currently being held on a $250,000 bond.
The two officers who received minor injuries as a result of the impact of the suspect vehicle striking the officers’ patrol vehicles were treated and released from a local medical facility.

St. Charles Police have arrested two 18-year-old men in connection with an armed robbery of Steak 'n Shake on First Capitol Drive early Wednesday morning.

According to a release from police, the two men entered Steak 'n Shake and displayed a handgun while demanding money at around 4 a.m. this morning. An employee gave the pair money before they ran off through the rear exit.
Later, St. Charles Police found the duo on Bel Rae Court, a small street located near the First Capitol and Interstate 70 intersection. When police attempted to stop the two in their car, the two men rammed two police cars in a botched attempt to escape.
Formal charges are pending, the release said, and two officers received minor injuries and are being treated at a local medical facility. No one from Steak 'n Shake was injured.
