17 Injured in St. Charles Church Group's Bus Accident in Georgia

Most people on the bus had minor injuries, but the church's pastor blogged that three adults and one teenager had more serious injuries.

Seventeen people traveling in Georgia with the First Baptist Church of St. Charles were injured in a bus accident. All 17 of those injured were taken to area hospitals near Chatsworth, GA and treated, according to a blog by First Baptist pastor Buddy Perstrope.

However, one student and three adults had more serious injury. A 15-year-old church member was taken to a children’s hospital in Chattanooga, TN with a concussion and lacerated liver, according to a Facebook post. But the boy was expected to be released today, Perstrope wrote.

“Three of our adults sustained more severe injuries,” Perstrope wrote. “Rusty Martin has some internal bleeding and broken ribs. Dan Eubanks has broken vertebrae and will have surgery tomorrow (Friday). Debbie Eubanks has a broken leg and is in surgery as I write.”
