Ok, let me tell you about myself before I start my rant. I'm a 35 year old male, married and father of two. I'm a working chef and I've been cooking professionally for almost 20 years. I've been out of culinary school for almost 10. I've worked very very hard trying to establish myself as a chef, but no one takes me seriously. Even though I've came up with multiply recipes and sop to aid my boss and his boss. Yet I'm only worth a noisy hourly rate. I just want to be able to provide for my family and not be broke all the time doing it. I went to a job fair two weeks ago for a job as the sous chef of a corporate dining company. They claim there in GROWTH mode but yet still no phone call. I did everything right at the interview show up early, put the job first before myself. Still no phone call. He looked at my resume' and ask why so many jobs. I was honest with him about the moves I've made and they were all justified. I've only been fired twice from a job and laid off once. I haven't been fired from a job in almost 8 years. You know I've learned for every job I've have. As a chef if you sit there and say you know everything you should just quit and retire. I learn something new every day I work. Anyway I have to go back to work I hear the dungeon calling me.
