Today, myself and 6 other volunteers cleaned the offices of OASIS panty. This organization provides food for needy St Charles County citizens. This is a monthly volunteer activity of 6:08 Church of the Shepherd. One thing struck me today as we did the cleaning- the amount of food available for distrution to needy families was very low. The shelves were sparsely stocked. This is an agency that depends on volunteer and corporate donations of food. We all need to help Gods' creatures, big and small who are experiencing difficult times. It is a very worthwhile agency and needs our help. I look forward to this monthly service project so the volunteers at the agency can assist others without having to worry about cleaning the offices and pantry areas.
