51st Annual Veterans Memorial Service

Over 1000 members of the community are expected to participate in a special Veterans Memorial Service honoring those who have served our country. Billed as the largest memorial service in St. Charles County, the event will take place on Sunday, May 27th at 2:00 p.m. at St. Charles Memorial Gardens, 3950 West Clay, St. Charles, MO 63301.

2012 marks the 51st year for the Veterans Memorial Service, which will feature a Parade of Colors led by St. Charles County Veteran Organizations, as well as prayers and songs in remembrance of our nation’s fallen heroes. The ceremony will also feature the After Hours Community Band, a Rifle Salute and Taps. The names of all area Veterans who have died during the past year will be read aloud, and poppies will be placed on a wreath in their honor.

“St. Charles County is home to over 25,000 veterans who have served with strength and courage,” said Lisa Baue, President of Baue Funeral Homes, Crematory and Cemetery. “We come together each year to honor their dedication and sacrifice, and are proud to have hosted this beautiful tribute ceremony for over fifty years.”
