St. Charles, MO – The
Bridge Fair Trade Market will hold it’s Grand Opening on Sunday, October 27, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at their newly opened location at 833 S. Main in St. Charles.
The Bridge Fair Trade Market is an expansion of The Bridge Coffee House
located in New Town in St. Charles, MO. The Bridge opened the new, second location to expand it’s opportunity to share fair trade merchandise with consumers and further it’s mission of social
justice to artisans and craftsmen in developing countries who are socially and
economically marginalized.

The Bridge Fair Trade Market provides artisans, craftsmen and farmers in developing countries an outlet to sell their goods at fair-market value. The Fair Trade Market sells products from all over the globe as well as from local vendors. They offer the unique experience of shopping that makes a global difference. When goods are purchased from fair trade vendors, it contributes to equitable distribution of goods around the globe to combat hunger and homelessness, provide clean water in developing countries, educational supplies, uniforms and schools for young children, job training for women and men, and helps the fight against human trafficking.
The Bridge is a non-profit organization which is supported by five local churches: Christ’s Church (RCA), Christ the King (ELCA), Hope Lutheran (ELCA), Living
Lord Lutheran (ELCA) and St. Charles Presbyterian Church (PC-USA).

Community in New Town, St Charles
The Bridge Coffee House offers a comfortable place, kid’s area, and free WiFi to enjoy a full coffee menu of espresso drinks, specialty beverages, pastries, snacks, chocolate, organic and fair trade products, and more.
