MyStage Presents The Little Mermaid Jr. at Batavia Fine Arts Centre

Join MyStage as they travel under the sea with their production of Disney’s The Little Mermaid Jr on August 10th and 11th, 3:00pm at the Batavia Fine Arts Centre. This theatrical experience features the beautiful young mermaid Ariel, who longs to leave her home in the ocean and live in the world above. When the evil sea witch Ursula offers her a deal to turn her into a human in exchange for her voice, Ariel defies her father, King Triton, to follow her dream. But she has only three days to convince Prince Eric that she’s the girl that he’s been searching for, or else she will turn back into a mermaid and be Ursula’s slave forever. With the help of her friends from the sea, including Sebastian and Flounder, will Ariel be able to convince Prince Eric that she is the girl with the beautiful voice before it’s too late?

Within this story, Director Connie Flores and the production team hope to reveal the messages of selfless love, following your dreams, and pushing beyond your comfort zone despite difficulties. On a deeper level, this story is about breaking the limits in our own minds in order to transform ourselves and explore positive ways to connect with the world around us.

The Little Mermaid Jr. is adapted from Disney’s 2008 hit Broadway production. The entire family will enjoy the show’s memorable songs, such as “Part of Your World”, “Kiss the Girl”, and the Oscar-winning “Under the Sea”. The characters are brought to life by 42 talented young actors ages 7-14.
